EXP 2 SUBMISSION THE ARCHITECTURE

                                                           #1 The Whole View

#2 Roof Construction
* The vaulted and interlaced roof construction with transparent glass facade express the concept of Louis Kahn which emphasis placed on strong geometric forms of the building, and then in turn dramatically influences its relationship to light.

#17 Platform and Pedestrian Crossing

#18 Platform
* #17 and #18 full-scale show 3 custom textures: On the surface of guardrail(light), the awning on the outside of the billboard(medium) and the seat under the billboard(dark). The medium and the dark materials act together to emphasis the importance of the billboard and interact perfectly with the entire structure. The light texture in the pattern of cross lines draws the driver's awareness of the guardrail.

#19 At dusk
* The external overall structure mainly consists of transparent glass which once again reflect the concept of Louis kahn which is  strong geometric forms of the building to dramatically influences its relationship to light and also express Balkrishna Doshi's idea "Drawing in natural light through forms which in turn diffuses light and creates ambiance" .

EXP 3 FINAL SUBMISSION : THE MOVING ELEMENTS

Moving Elements & Plan For each level of this building, the ground of each one(from level 1 to level 4) expresses a sense of ladder(the red outlines). For the overall roof structures, I chose part of arched structures with different width to make movement style to the greatest extent(see the green curve outlines). For each level of the building, the order of roof structure is opposite (the width of each roof structure from left to right or right to left is different). Also for the columns of the building, the width of each column is different, the order principle is same as roof structure one (from wide to narrow or from first to wide). For the solar panel at top, the width and the angle to the ground of each one is still different but also follow a sense of order principle. To sum up, it seems that all the elements of this building are moving elements which also are my own core ideas.  Plan  Frank Gehry,Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao  ...
